The Shivers sixth album, More, was released May 10 via Silence Breaks. The veteran duo from Queens, NY, have said that this release would be a bit more eclectic than their low-key folk-focused previous efforts, and the first single off More, 'Used to Be', is exactly that. It's an upbeat, varied
song that even includes a heavy dose of electronica that could start a dance party like a Matt & Kim tune. 'Just Didn't Need To Know' is a soulful tune from their 2009 LP, In The Morning, that wears its mournful ache on its sleeve and is all the better for it. You can catch them for free May 15 at Commonwealth Lounge in Fullerton and again at The Hotel Cafe on May 21 (tickets).
