L.A.'s Bodies of Water are releasing their third full-length, Twist Again, on June 21 from their own Thousand Tongues label. Last summer the band previewed 'Rise Up, Be Careful' from the album, which is an absolutely lovely song with Meredith's brooding vocals, a la Astrud Gilberto, backed
with some slick saxophone. 'Triplets' is another song from the record featured last year in all it's 50's harmonized glory. A new song from the album, 'Open Rhythms' has recently been released and really heightens the anticipation for the record. It's a stunning track that demands your attention throughout its dusky, slow-moving four and a half minute journey. Meredith's vocals are soothing and captivating, yet mysterious enough to keep you at arm's length and keeping your curiosity.
