Orange County's garage punkers TRMRS are teaming up with the just as wonderful Night Beats from Seattle for a split 7" to be released in April on Volcom Entertainment and Resurrection Records.  TRMRS just came through town recently so they shouldn't be back anytime soon, but give these two songs a listen.  They're both much slower-paced than what we're used to from them, but they still carry their familiar western sound...and...with patience comes the guitar onslaught and drum banging that is more associated with

Today's tunes are from Seattle's (via Texas) Night Beats.  They put an EP, H-Bomb 7, last year and followed it up with a self-titled full-length that came out on June 28 (buy).  Both releases come from the wonderful Trouble In Mind Records.  Their sound is what you'd expect from Texas origins...it's raw, lean garage loaded with enough blues rock, wailing vocals, and screeching guitars to set them apart from the other psych garage bands out there and
