Don't Wake The Dead (previously on CWR)
The interweb has been abuzz the last week over the announcement of a new EP, (errrr, single?) from Guards released today on Kitsune. Guards is headed by Richie Follin (brother to Madeline Follin of Cults) who released an abundantly pleasant self-titled EP last year (download for free), and is now following it up with the Resolution of One
EP. I'm not sure why it's an EP since the title-track was part of last year's EP and there are only 2 other tracks on it, but then again the lines between single, EP, and LP have been, and probably always will be blurred. Regardless, with the new song, 'Hear You Call', Richie continues with the carefree sun-filled, echo-y pop, that makes you want to burst out of the house, tear off your clothes, and run through the sun-drenched streets naked, untethered, and without a care in the world...that can't be a bad thing, right?
