HAPPY BIRTHDAY by Black Elephant

Happy Birthday
Four Years

Black Elephant is yet another promising band out of L.A. that has returned as a full four-piece after a brief hiatus back in 2011. The band is recording and playing shows again and two of their newest demos, which include the swirly and dreamy 'Happy Birthday' above, are available for stream/download over at their Bandcamp. Their only previous release up to this point is a cassette release last year entitled Four
Years from Papermade Records and includes the uplifting and bouncy title track that immediately comes to life with the saccharine-laced female backing vocals, and truly exemplifies the heartfelt catchiness of their sound.  There's clearly no denying that they're from L.A. after hearing the bright airy vibes that beam from their music.  Copies of Four Years are still available for purchase here, and they're working on another cassette for this year to be self-released on their own Trabajo record label.  Be sure to keep an eye out for them playing around town.  Readers in the San Francisco area can catch them as part of day one at Pop Fest this weekend along with Kids On A Crime Spree, TV Girl, Seapony, Dead Angle, and Boat.

As an extra bonus, take a listen to their rocking retro French influenced 'Roce Et Roule' below, which was also provided to me, but I can't seem to locate where it's from.  Lets hope it's on the forthcoming release.
