[on repeat] FINE by Ty Segall

Fine (from Goodbye Bread)
You Make The Sun Fry (previously)

It's easy to expect a gushing reception for Ty Segall's new LP, Goodbye Bread, because of the irregular love he gets here, but this entirely biased opinion will still tell you that you need to hear it as soon as you get your hands on it.  It's
all that's going to be filling my ears for some time.  It's everything you'd expect from him plus tons of surprises.  He is 23 and seems to be mellowing a bit, but it's huge.  Stream the closing track from the record, 'Fine' above, and 'You Make The Sun Fry,' which was released to the interweb a few weeks ago.  His fifth full-length's release is June 21 on Drag City (pre-order).  Also, if he happens to show up where you're at, be sure catch him live.  He and his band don't disappoint. Those of you in L.A. can see him at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts on July 22 ($10 tickets).

The other side of things could be that I just wanted a reason to post the album cover again, and now I get to see it every time the blog shows up for a while.
