The Ex-Cult's self-titled debut is a thrashy guitar frenzy with some head cramming energy that is bound to do some damage to all that will listen. The record comes out from Goner Records on November 13 and is produced by the one-and-only Ty Segall. Two of the head bangers from the album can be streamed above and you can stream the album in its
entirety over at Spin. The LP is a fierce and passionate record that incorporates gritty vocals in front of catchy, guitar blazing power punk. 'MPD' is the first 7" released from the LP (buy) and 'Shade of Red' is too good to leave it. The band will be opening for Ty Segall from late January thru early February, but unfortunately they won't be joining Ty when he's with his band in L.A. on December 15th at the El Rey Theater w/ Night Beats and Pangea (tickets) or December 16th for another Burger Records extravaganza at The Observatory with Night Beats, Burnt Ones, Audacity, and others (tickets).
