There's another jangly garage treasure coming out of Australia...Melbourne specifically. The Aussie trio known as Chook Race incorporate a whole lackadaisical, blissful and scrappy quality to their songs' energy that is common place with many of the artists coming out of Australia at the moment and their output is no less captivating. Their most
recent 7" came out in March of this year and features a double A-side for the songs 'Medicine' and 'Pop Song.' You'll hear the familiar combination of duo male/female harmonies on 'Pop Song' that will surely make you want more, but 'Medicine' is the trigger that sparks the energy on the 7". The band has a few other previous releases on their Bandcamp that are definitely worth listening to.
