It's no surprise how much I've enjoyed Dick Diver's debut LP release, New Start Again, from 2011, and some wonderful news has arrived of a follow-up. The Melbourne 4-piece is releasing a new 5-song digital only EP on November 16 that features new track, 'Alice,' which is to be included on their next full length, which will probably be called Calendar
Days and is due out in early 2013 from Chapter Music. Alongside 'Alice' are some previously unreleased Dick Diver gems including Future Self 1 (the precursor to Future Self 2, which appeared on New Start Again), the swaggering Michael Jackson, a great wonky cover of Mum Smokes’ 1949, and an acoustic version of classic Walk For Room, the opening track from Arks Up. Get yourself a taste of the warm, lush, casual blend of indie rock that this band is sure to continue to bring with their sophomore LP release. Listen to new track 'Alice' and the self-titled favorite off the debut. Stream and buy the Alice EP at their Bandcamp.
