Sea Hare
Every year there seems to be this odd fascination amongst the music community with selecting the veritable song of the summer. I'm not going to get into any qualifiers about that for this post other than saying most everyone's favorite season is definitely on its way and San Diego's Dirty Gold
does a fabulous job of putting us in the right frame of mind with the 60's inspired sunshine of 'California Sunrise' and their other summery pop treasures. The band's debut EP, Roar, will be out April 12 on Autumn Tone Records. They just collaborated with fellow San Diegans TV Girl on a split 7" where they do a cover of each other's song that can be downloaded here. The internet is in a frenzy over these high school boys so you should definitely give them a listen even if it's just to escape reality for a few minutes and then pick up your copy April 12 here.
