(Please) Don't Break Me
Catwalk is a band of 19 year olds from Oxnard, California. They look like they'll be in the business of making good poppy, ethereal, hazy, and dancy tunes for some time. There have been four singles released with the two most recent being on Captured Tracks. 'One by Words,' came out on January 18 (buy) and is an upbeat tune that catches you
right away with its steady beat and wave of guitar. The previous single, 'Please Don't Break Me,' (buy) doesn't break from the catchy pop haze formula. Both songs are available for your listening enjoyment above. No news about a full-length, but I'll definitely keep my ears peeled. I'm sure you'll be able to hear plenty more songs from then when they open up for the Vivian Girls Feb 22nd at The Smell (tickets), and opening for The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Twin Shadow on 4/xx at The Cellar Door in Visalia (tickets). Yeah, it's in Visalia, but that would be a good night of music.
