Beach Fossils have a new EP, What A Pleasure, coming out on February 22 from Captured Tracks Records. In listening to it over the weekend, they've definitely advanced from the lo-fi sound of their first much enjoyed 2010 self-titled LP. The same sunny, jangly pop exists, but it's crisper and
clearer than the haze that hung over it before. Nevertheless, it's still good time pop that's definitely a joy to listen to. The vinyl version of the EP comes with seven tracks, which is one less than the CD. The missing tune is 'Face It,' which was posted here previously. Also included above is another song off the EP, 'Calyer.' You can pre-order either version of the EP here.
