The Keepsies are a new band that are tightly entwined with a couple other bands recently featured on the blog. The Keepsies are a trio that feature Jason Kelly who is one half of Fergus & Geronimo, and as you may recall just recently released their stellar LP from Hardly Art Records. Another member of The Keepsies Austin Brown, records and tours
with Fergus & Geronimo while also sharing the writing and vocal responsibilities with Andrew Savage (the other half of Fergus & Geronimo) for Parquet Courts who was just featured on here yesterday. Thoroughly confused yet? Well, all you need to know is that there's some creative, fun music coming out of the Fergus & Geronimo camp and The Keepsies keep in line with this concept as evidenced by the three songs on their first single for 'Dumb Fun.' There's a retro pop luster in all the songs that are enhanced with the quirky, entertaining, originative touch we've come to know with these guys.
