Orca Orca is the brainchild of Boston's Jim Hewitt and his jangly dream pop first caught my attention last year with the self-release of the single for 'Change of Pace.' His new EP, Make Live (buy), was just released on March 21 and contains six more of the gentle, lo-fi type of pop that simply makes you want to just float away. The entire EP is available for a buck (yes, a singular dollar) over at his Bandcamp where you can
also pick up a limited edition hand painted cassette with 6-page booklet containing original artwork from Jesse Treece for only $3. He's also made the digital download freely available to those who can't part with $1 by offering it here. The project is still in its early stages with performances staying mostly in the Boston area, but it's grown to a full band and hopefully they'll be visiting other parts of the country soon. In the meantime, check out three tracks from the new EP above, and then go grab yourself a cassette (if you have a cassette player).
