Fuck Off
Upon first hearing Seattle's Grave Babies in 2010, there wasn't too much information readily available about them yet. They've quietly self-released two hard to find LPs (Deathface and Bloodskull) on Skrot Up Records, which are both quite amazing...as well as some singles over the past couple of years. Their current EP, Gothdammit (buy), comes out today from Hardly Art Records. There's a very reminiscent 80's
sound to their overall nightmarish, post-punk gloom. They can try to hide behind the continuous gloom that they emanate, but in the end it's captivating because even with the gruesome band name, somber song titles, and lo-fi metal chamber gothic sounds of the band, there's still a beautiful overall quality to the music...or maybe I'm just twisted. Check out two of the tracks from the EP above.
