Local favorites, Allah-Las, posted a new video on YouTube Wednesday for 'Busman's Holiday,' which is a new song that we can only presume will be on their imminent debut, self-titled LP release on September 18th from Innovative Leisure. You hear the same wonderfully laid-back psychedelic sound that we've grown accustomed to from these guys and
the anticipation for their album is heightened by the fact that retro-groove master Nick Waterhouse is responsible for its production. They've spent the past couple years playing extensively locally so their upcoming fall tour with Nick Waterhouse doesn't have them scheduled in L.A., but the tour does end in San Francisco on Oct. 20th so it wouldn't be too far fetched to see something pop up afterwards. Roll down the windows and enjoy the sun-drenched sounds of two tracks hopefully to be on the LP and check out the gorgeous video I referred to that was filmed in L.A.'s backyard...the Mojave Desert/Joshua Tree.
Update: As expected a local date has been scheduled at the El Rey Theater with Nick Waterhouse on Oct. 21 (tickets).
