Rayon Beach are out of Austin and released their debut EP on HoZac Records in 2010 (buy) and a single for 'Death Rides A
Horse' from Plastic Spoon Records in 2011 (buy). They formed in 2009 with two fellows (Thomas Sutherland and Mike Naccarato) and added Rachel Scherr last year on keyboards and vocals, which has really helped round out their sound. They provide a fierce, raw blend of fuzz, noise, and energy that is all combined into an honest, chainsaw punk sound that separates them from the other psychedelic outfits out there currently taking a stab at this. They're gearing up to release their debut LP on HoZac Records in April and I'll definitely be here waiting anxiously.
