As Bright As Your Night Light
Nerves Junior are out of Louisville and are set to release their debut LP, As Bright As Your Night Light, September 6 on Sonablast Records. The first listen through it reminded me of the same experience I had when I first heard Yeasayer's first album (the good one), or Cryptograms, or even the first time I heard Kid A. I'm not saying this record
is a masterpiece that will go down in history (or will it?), but this record is complex, comprehensive, and different in the same way those other albums were (at that time). It's atmospheric, guitar-driven, electro, and dense with off-kilter beats. It is definitely an overall comprehensive effort from these guys and the LP deserves your time. The opening track off the record is a nice journey and a great example of what this band brings to the table so take a listen to this preview of the record above along with the title track, and first single.
