Ready To Go
Another upcoming release from the Bay Area sees Bare Wires' third LP, Cheap Perfume, to be released on October 18th from Southpaw Records (pre-order). The title track has been released to wet your lips and to get you ready for the 10 new tracks of their throwback 70's garage sound. I've been listening to this song over and over...just can't get enough of it. 'Ready To Go' is the b-side to the single release of the LPs lead track 'Don't Ever
Change,' which was released back in March. They're playing two shows in NoCal during September, but no word of anything in the L.A. area as of now.
You may also be interested in the recently released compilation of flexi-discs (remember those?) that includes the Bay Area bands Ty Segall, The Fresh and Onlys, Mikal Cronin, Blasted Canyons, Thee Oh Sees, and of course, Bare Wires. Grab yourself a copy of this fantastically packaged collectible of spiral bound, multi-colored flexi discs with holographic images on each page. I have mine and I can profess that it's one of a kind (see image below) and worth the $27.50 (buy).
