Groovy Intuitions
Adam Widener toured and recorded in a multiple of Milwaukee punk and power pop bands (Plexi 3, The Zygoteens) before heading west and settling in San Francisco where he enjoyed a stint playing bass for Bare Wires. After parting ways with the band and no longer being the 'backup guy' he went out on his own to record demos for his own songs that he'd written over the years. Ultimately, he teamed up with Big Action Records for the January, 2012, release of Cola Kids Hanging
Out in the Bubble Dome 7" (buy), which is loaded with 4 tracks of some of the catchiest retro power-pop you'll hear...and it's where 'Crime in the City' comes from. He had quite a stack of songs written so there was no point in stopping there. Another set of tunes, including 'Groovy Intuitions,' were recorded earlier this year for a 5-track EP that will be released on the Fuzz City label this spring.
