Bleeding Rainbow have taken a cue from their labelmates and recent tourmates Eternal Summers and have added some new band members and kick it up a notch with an infusion of high energy pop-rock for their latest LP release, Yeah Right, out on January 29 from Kanine Records. After releasing two LPs, an EP, and changing their name from Reading Rainbow, the newly established quartet have maintained the ransom
note feel of their cover artwork, but have slighted away from the murky, droning effects of the earlier releases for a more fully realized onslaught of pop tunes masked behind a wall of guitars that hark back to some of the college favorites from the 90's. 'Pink Ruff' has the straightforward approach that was so successfully implemented by Eternal Summers, and you can't listen to 'You're Not Alone' without thinking of your favorite My Bloody Valentine track.
