Kaputt
The very talented Dan Bejar (aka Destroyer) is one of the many powers behind the supergroup The New Pornographers and is giving us his 9th solo LP, Kaputt, on January 25 from Merge Records. His contributions to the Pornos releases
always stand out in their own way, and on this solo record he goes with a softer, sax-laden approach to things, but doesn't veer from his unique songwriting. The first single, 'Chinatown', is the lead track from the album and an obvious tune to highlight, but I'm choosing to preview two others that I particularly like. It's definitely a highly enjoyable listen the whole way through. You can pre-order the record here.
