Another show of interest in town is Tim Presley's solo project White Fence. He is one of the wonderful local LA acts and is a member of Darker My Love, The Strange Boys, and in 2006 worked with The Fall on the Reformation Post TLC record. His solo project, White Fence, came out in early
2010, and was one of my favorites last year. His follow-up, Is Growing Faith, will be released from Woodsist on January 18th. 'Lillian (Won't You Play Drums)' is a preview from the new album and continues down the Syd Barret inspired psychedelia of the first record. I'm sure it will be another winner. He'll be in town this weekend promoting the LP on Thursday (at Women's House) and Friday (at The Smell). Both shows will be with the much talked about The Babies, which consists of members from Vivian Girls and Woods. They have their own record coming out on Feb 8 via Shrimper. I've included a song of theirs above as well. Enjoy!
