Heavy Times are out of Chicago and the release of the band's acclaimed fifth LP, Jacker, came to us last year from HoZac Records. Earlier this month, a couple of Facebook posts by the band seem to point to the fact that we can expect a follow-up to Jacker (buy)...lets hope it's sooner rather than later. 'Night Looks' and 'Might Not Shoot Myself' are the two songs featured by the band doing what they do best...scuzzy,
melodic, slacker garage rock that makes you move.
Update: After spending some time thinking about it, these tracks could be the two being offered up as part of the Windian Records 5-single box set coming out August 7, which features all original tracks (except for one cover by Terry Malts) from Heavy Times, Terry Malts, The Barreracudas, Static Eyes, and Suns of Guns. It looks like some pretty amazing packaging and it's limited to 200 copies, but I believe they may be all gone. Check it out.
