Here's another promising hazy band to come out of Mississippi. I use the term 'hazy' to describe their sound as well as the current state of information available on them. You may recall the grimy, scuzzy sounds of Flight, the grim, moodier scuzz of Dead Gaze, and the straightforward smash your head sound of Bass Drum Of Death...well, Illls borrows
the sounds from their local comrades and puts a cleaner sonic tone to it that resembles the vocals from Flight in front of Dead Gaze's music. Last month they had their debut performance at the Cats Purring collective's Dude Ranch, which to nobody's surprise has become quite the center of all things art in the Oxford/Mississippi area since starting things up last year. The band has two well polished tracks over at their Bandcamp, and lets hope there's more to come soon.
