iowa is a band from melbourne, australia who take a good chunk of influence from the 90's rock of swervedriver and dinosaur jr. their first 7" for the single 'am' was released earlier this year on their own label, desert mouth records. their latest single is the double a-side 'lose yourself/reasons,' released on 11/26 and continuing down
the same drum crashing, guitar churning path as previously. an interesting note is that 'lose yourself' was recorded all in one take. the record also features the producer of another chrome waves favorite, love of diagrams. both singles are available at their bandcamp as well as for purchase on limited edition red and green vinyl here. take a listen to 'lose yourself' and the b-side 'wires' here.
