bury me (live session)
out of belfast, girls names is a duo that strikes a very strong resemblance to crystal stilts. they released two EPs earlier this year within a few weeks of each other on different labels. the first, self-titled, is on captured tracks records and is loaded with 4 solid tracks.
the second, you should know by now, is on tough love records, but was only limited to 100 copies and is all sold out. both EPs are filled with twangy 60's style reverbed pop that's mighty rough around the edges. their most recent release is a split 7" single, 'i win/you lose,' with san francisco's brilliant colors that continues the great sound and bodes well for their 2011 LP release. the 7" single is limited to 600 copies and is available here. i'm featuring the single here along with a track from their self-titled EP, and a fantastic other song recently recorded for a five song live session for imprint this on your mind that will be on their upcoming LP.
