Cornered
Some sporadic punk-esque elctronica from Montage Populaire out of Southampton, UK. They've recently self-reased a debut EP, Nothing Serious, that was home recorded over the past few months and are giving it away for free at their Bandcamp. The sound has a spastic quality to it since so much is going on, but there's plenty of craft behind it making the songs enjoyable and full of pop danceability. The influences are too numerous to even begin mentioning, but give the highlight
track 'Separate Frames' a listen along with a slower Pulp-like gem off the EP...then get your weekend started right with a bevy of female stage dancing? game show dancing? advertising? who cares...just watch.
